EVALUASI PROGRAM PELATIHAN PENGOLAHAN BAHAN PUSTAKA DI PUSDIKLAT PERPUSTAKAAN NASIONAL RI

This research was intended to see how the Kirkpatrick four level evaluation model is applied in the Library Material Processing training program organized by the Education and Training center of National Library of Indonesia. This evaluation research uses the Kirkpatrick evaluation model (Reaction, Learning, Behavior, Result). The subject of this research is training organizers, training instructors and training participants in the processing of library materials. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, documentation and interviews. Data validity test is done using triangulation of sources and methods. The  results  of  this  study show that the  implementation  of the  Library Material  Processing  Training  program  has  not  gone  well  based  on  the aspect  that  being  evaluated.  1)  In  the  Reaction  evaluation  aspect, the implementation  of training  at  this  stage goes  well.  It can  be seen  from the  results  of  the  evaluator's last evaluation  score  which  has  a  score  of 93.88 or very satisfied and the last evaluation score of the instructor who has  a  score  of  90.66  or  very  satisfied.  2)  In  the  aspect  of  learning evaluation,  the  training  process  goes  well  according  to  the  plan  that was made before. This can be seen from the final score of all participants who have a score above the least limit. 3) in the Behavior aspect, the training organizers have not carried out observations of the participants' behavior after the training. 4) Then in the Result aspect, the training organizers also have  not  carried  out  observations  on  the  participants'  contributions  or the use of participant's knowledge of the library performance.   Keywords: Program Evaluation, Library Material Processing Training, Kirkpatrick Evaluation Mode

Leaves are an important resource of feed stuff for many ruminants (e.g. browsing in extensive grazing systems with access of animals to shrubs and trees). The contents of minerals and trace elements of leaves from trees and shrubs are not known. In 2002, leaves of about 30 northern German (Schleswig-Holstein) shrubs and trees were analysed for minerals and trace elements. The results show that the leaves of the different shrubs have different values. Leaves can be an important source of minerals and trace elements for ruminant diets

Modifikation der Genexpression respiratorischen Epithels mittels Oligonukleotiden zur Entwicklung innovativer Behandlungsstrategien von entzündlichen Erkrankungen der Atemwege

Das Atemwegsepithel ist als Teil der angeborenen Immunität in der Lage, mikrobielle Bestandteile zu erkennen und mit einer Entzündungsreaktion zu antworten. Ziel der vorliegenden Studie war es, die Interaktion von kleinen Nukleinsäuren und Atemwegsepithel zu untersuchen. Die vorliegende Studie ergab, dass durch die Applikation von Antisense Oligonukleotiden und small interfering RNA (siRNA) gegen die p65 Untereinheit von NF- kappa B die Genexpression im Atemwegsepithel verändert und entzündliche Reaktionen auf diese Weise modifiziert werden können. Die Aufnahme der Nukleinsäuren in Atemwegsepithel ist dabei abhängig vom verwendeten Transfektionsreagenz und dem Differenzierungsgrad der Zellen. Ein Vergleich der beiden Ansätze ergab, dass die Applikation von siRNA bezüglich der Inhibition von Entzündung im Atemwegsepithel einen stärkeren Effekt hervorruft. Nukleinsäuren können im Atemwegsepithel jedoch auch entzündliche Reaktionen auslösen. Die Untersuchung der zugrunde liegenden Mechanismen ergab, dass das System der Toll-like Rezeptoren (TLR), insbesondere TLR3 und TLR9 für diese Reaktionen verantwortlich sind. Hiermit wird klar, dass Atemwegsepithel nicht nur eine passive Barriere gegen eindringende Mikroorganismen darstellt, sondern aktiv an der Auslösung einer Immunantwort beteiligt ist. Kürzlich neu gewonnene Einblicke in die Pathophysiologie entzündlicher Erkrankungen haben für die Entwicklung neuer therapeutischer Ansätze die Basis geliefert. Die vorliegende Studie zeigt, dass die Applikation kleiner Nukleinsäuren eine neue therapeutische Modalität für entzündliche Lungenerkrankungen wie Asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) und Zystische Fibrose darstellt. Die Ergebnisse weisen jedoch ebenfalls auf Limitationen dieser Therapieform hin. Die schlechte Zugänglichkeit des Atemwegsepithels stellt dabei das größte Hindernis dar. Die Tatsache, dass kleine Nukleinsäuren im Atemwegsepithel Entzündungsreaktionen verursachen können, verdeutlicht, dass eine sorfältige Auswahl der Sequenz Voraussetzung für den therapeutischen Erfolg ist

Gemüseselbsternte (GSE)(BÖL 02OE535)

Es handelt sich dabei um ein interdisziplinäres Forschungsprojekt im Rahmen des Bundesprogramms Ökologischer Landbau. Die Gemüseselbsternte (GSE) ist ein Selbsterntekonzept, das Ende der 80er Jahre in Österreich entwickelt wurde und Ende der 90er nach Deutschland kam. Ökologisch wirtschaftende Betriebe legen ca. 80 qm große Gemüseparzellen mit 20 bis 30 verschiedenen Gemüsearten und –sorten an. Mitte Mai werden diese Parzellen an die Nutzer übergeben. Diese pflegen und ernten diese Flächen und geben sie im Herbst/Winter wieder ab.Aufgabe des Fachgebiets Agrar- und Lebensmittelmarketing ist es einerseits die ökonomischen Verbundwirkungen der GSE für den Absatz anderer Produkte beim Ab-Hof-Verkauf zu erfassen und andererseits mögliche Imageeffekte, die von der GSE ausgehen, zu untersuchen

The Alternate Arm Converter: A New Hybrid Multilevel Converter With DC-Fault Blocking Capability

This paper explains the working principles, supported by simulation results, of a new converter topology intended for HVDC applications, called the alternate arm converter (AAC). It is a hybrid between the modular multilevel converter, because of the presence of H-bridge cells, and the two-level converter, in the form of director switches in each arm. This converter is able to generate a multilevel ac voltage and since its stacks of cells consist of H-bridge cells instead of half-bridge cells, they are able to generate higher ac voltage than the dc terminal voltage. This allows the AAC to operate at an optimal point, called the “sweet spot,” where the ac and dc energy flows equal. The director switches in the AAC are responsible for alternating the conduction period of each arm, leading to a significant reduction in the number of cells in the stacks. Furthermore, the AAC can keep control of the current in the phase reactor even in case of a dc-side fault and support the ac grid, through a STATCOM mode. Simulation results and loss calculations are presented in this paper in order to support the claimed features of the AAC
